Terms of Use

By using Backyard Majors (the site and our Discord) you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are

Backyard Majors is a free, fan-run community. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mega Cat Studios, Playground Productions or anyone behind Backyard Baseball. Backyard Baseball and its characters belong to their owners. We don't use the game's art.

Your account

• You sign in with Discord and must be 13 or older.
• One account per person. No smurfs, no shared accounts, no playing on someone else's account.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account.

Playing fair

• Report real results only. Play the kids you picked and the official settings in the Rulebook.
• No cheating, exploits, match fixing, win trading or harassment.
• Commissioners settle disputes. Their decisions on results are final.

Bans

We can suspend or ban accounts that break the rules. A site ban also applies in our Discord server and follows your Discord account, not just your username.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload (team logos, names, bios). You give us permission to show it on the site, in Discord and in share images. Only upload things you have the right to use. No hateful, sexual or illegal content, and nothing that uses the game's art or other people's logos without permission.

Prizes and events

Cups and events are for fun. Any prizes are described on the event page and can change or be cancelled. We don't run paid-entry tournaments.

No guarantees

The site is provided as is. It can go down, have bugs, or change. We're not responsible for losses from using it, to the extent the law allows. We can change or shut down features at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll update the date above, and keep using the site means you accept the new version.
